Artist's Description
An imaginary piece that was inspired by the Pennsylvania Dutch Hex signs I saw on barns in Lancaster County, PA. I spent about 150 hours on this piece. I paint at a relaxed pace for the love of painting, and with the intention of uplifting the person viewing it. Plenty of love and joy go into my work, and I hope that comes across.I wish I was able to upload the original file which is nearly four times as large as the file I was able to upload on this site, and is much more detailed. Love your work Lori!! The lively colors and decorative use of shapes resonate with me totally - as you will have seen from my silk art! Fun to read your explanation about the Pennsylvania Dutch symbolism you have used here.

Wow! Very colorful and attractive, interesting concept! No one has done too much with Pennsylvania Dutch motifs, (except the Pennsylvania Dutch, of course!).

This is great, it calls to mind Georgia O'Keefe w/the colors and curves and makes Dutch Hex signs lovable & cute. The three fish at the bottom are a fun touch and make this a family-friendly piece of art!!!
